How does fluid friction affect swimming?
Over the years of my experiences of swimming, theres always slowing me down. I knew it was the water but I didn't understand how it worked. Now that I do, i'm sharing the answer to anyone and everyone interested in swimming. So we know that fluid friction is the resistance of a body or object moving through a liquid.
As you see in the diagram above, there are four different forces going on which are all apart of the fluid friction. How much you flout is buoyancy which pushes you up can determine how much weight your pushing or swimming with. The thrust force is how much your pushing with and going forward. Your weight can determine it because it's pulling you down which adds on to the drag that is following behind you. The drag the the fluid friction. It's the force that is pushing against you as you move through the water.
